Overview

Meta (owner of WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook) requires business pages to be managed through a Meta Business Portfolio. To connect your Instagram and Facebook pages with Visito, ensure they are linked to a Meta Business Portfolio at business.facebook.com.

Why is this important?

If your Instagram page is not linked to a Facebook page within a Meta Business Portfolio, you cannot connect it to Visito. Meta mandates that every Instagram business account be paired with a Facebook page.

Checklist Before Connecting Channels in Visito

1. Login credentials:

   • Facebook username and password.
   • Instagram username and password.

2. Meta Business Portfolio:

   • Both Instagram and Facebook pages must be connected to the same portfolio.

     

     

3. Admin access:

   • Ensure you have admin rights for the Meta Business Portfolio.

     

What If You Don’t See a Meta Business Portfolio?

If the Meta Business Portfolio is not visible at business.facebook.com, you may not have admin access. Here’s how to resolve it:

1. Connect your Instagram to a Facebook page:

2. Request admin access:

   Contact the admin of the Meta Business Portfolio and ask for permissions.

How to Invite a Team Member to Your Meta Business Portfolio

1. Go to Settings.
2. Navigate to the People tab and click + Invite People.
3. Enter their email address. You can also select advanced options like Temporary Access or Meta Spark Access.
